About Karyn Feit, LCSW
As a social worker with over 25 years of experience, I provide a space where you can feel safe, secure and comfortable. My specialties include providing mental health support to teens, young adults, and families as they navigate the challenging transition from adolescence to adulthood. One focus of our work is to help you move from dependence to greater self-efficacy.
Together, we will practice strength-based treatment from a non-judgmental place for positive change. Skills such as emotional expression, assertiveness, and confidence are modeled and taught for practice in the world outside of therapy.
I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Pennsylvania (1997) and became a licensed clinical social worker in 2006. Over the course of twelve years at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), I provided psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, and therapeutic support to individuals, couples, and families. My work also included supervising Master’s-level clinicians on their path to licensure. A highlight of my career was the publication of REACH-OUT, a psycho-educational process group curriculum designed for adolescents managing chronic illness. I have spent the last fourteen years in private practice, focusing on adults, couples, adolescents and family counseling.
